Last Week's Sermon
Angel Tree Christmas

Angel Tree Christmas

We did it!

Last weekend we announced the Angel Tree Christmas program. We did it! Many people stepped up immediately, exceeding our goal of 30 children represented.  Thirty- three were accounted for!

Contrary to what I thought, there are no more children enrolled in the Prison Fellowship Canada program for the Thunder Bay area.  As a result, we are closing the sign-up opportunity for this program. Thank you so much for those of you that signed up!

I was also mistaken about the number of children of inmates who live in the Thunder Bay area. It was less than I had anticipated.  James or I will be in touch with those of you who signed up  about how we will distribute the gifts. It sounds like there may be an opportunity to ship gifts to Dryden for incarcerated individulas who registered with the Angel Tree program.

In early December, James or I, will be in touch with you about next steps for those of you who signed up.

Christmas Movie Night

Christmas Movie Night

December 19th 6:00 PM

Join us for a family-friendly movie evening as we celebrate the Christmas season together! This is a wonderful opportunity to invite a friend who may not yet know Jesus and enjoy a relaxed night of fellowship, snacks, and a festive film.

We’ll be showing The Star, a fun and engaging animated retelling of Jesus’ birth. It’s perfect for kids and entertaining for adults too!

We'll be enjoying activities such as coloring and board games.

We hope you’ll join us for this special night!

Special Kid's Service

Special Kid's Service

December 21

We will be celebrating a special Christmas concert with our Transformer Kids on December 21st.

Lauren and Mary have been working hard at preparing for this event. I'm hoping that you can mark this in your calendar and turn out for this True North Kid's concert.

Christmas Eve Service

Christmas Eve Service

6 - 7 PM December 24th

We look forward to meeting together on Christmas Eve for a special service. We will meet from 6 to 7 p.m.

This is a traditional favorite at Transformation Church, and is a great opportunity to prayerfully consider bringing a friend with you who does not typically attend church.

We usually end the evening with a candle lighting and the singing of Silent Night. It is beautiful.

New Year's Eve Worship

New Year's Eve Worship

December 31st

Join us on Wednesday night, December 31st for an evening of worship and prayer.

Details will yet be coming for this evening, but I wanted to let you know so that you can mark your calendar. This will be an opportunity to pray and praise God as we move from 2025 into 2026.

Help with Snow Clearing

Help with Snow Clearing

We're looking for someone who can help clear snow at the church property this winter.

Do you have a desire to help and might you have the equipment to do this?

Be A Berean

A Magnificent Marriage

We are steadily moving our way through Ephesians and this weekend we turn to Ephesians 5:21-33. This part of Ephesians 5 and the early part of Ephesians 6 are referred to as the household codes by scholars. Paul takes up specific instruction for three major relationships: the relationship of marriage, the relationship between parents and kids, and between masters and slaves.

We will be learning some historical context to understand these passages in their first-century setting. Then we will lead to an application in our current culture. I would encourage you to read through our passage for this weekend carefully. Try to set aside your reaction to some of the negative connotations that have at times surrounded this passage.

As I sat and studied this week, I was deeply touched with a picture of a magnificent marriage that Paul portrays here.

Looking forward to gathering with you on Sunday!
Jeremy
